A great move after retiring our 20 year old Bosch.

We were very satisfied with our Bosch NEXXT washer, but after 20 years of (hard!) service, it was finally time to replace her. None of the Bosch models available (Dec 2024) fit our needs vs price area. Electrolux was listed as one of the models recommended in nearly every one of our searches online for "best washing machines." Now installed, it is even quieter and faster than the Bosch had been (if you are new to quality front loaders - that is still a tad longer cycle time than your typical top loader). I do miss the ability to only rinse, only spin, and only drain that we had formerly - but we are adapting well to the features we do gain form the newer model. From a growning family of 5, we are down to just 2 retirees and a skill trades 20-s son on the verge of purchasing a new home. Its capacity is a tad lower than we are used to, however it is no challenge so far to run as much laundry as we want, when we want it. I definitely like the 15 minute fast wash cycle, as well as the extended fresh drying (sometimes we toss in laundry, head for bed, but forget about what we did when we first wake up!). The added pedestal/drawer definitely helps with space management and our backs (not having to bend over to access the drum). We definitely are pleased with our purchase.

We bought a new clothes washer because our previous one had a problem developing with the circuit board that was causing malfunctions. We have used our new machine for two weeks and have had no issues. We are happy that the pedestal from our old machine could be used with our new machine and did not need to be replaced.

So far, I'm very happy with the washer. I used it for 4 weeks. The normal cycle is fast, only 47 min, the 15 min quick wash cycle is very convenient for just a few things. The spinning is great, the medium is enough for a regular mixed load, the fast spinning for towels.

Washer works like a dream, so many choices for all types of loads, very quiet and efficient. It still has the problem of water collecting in the liner and needs to be dried after each wash . I now usually place a cloth to collect the water so it doesn't mold. There is a slight odor to the washer which others have mentioned, not bad and seems to be dissipating with each use. Overall, I am happy with my purchase.

First Front Loader

This is our first front loader. The salesman was helpful in alerting us to use a significantly smaller amount of detergent than was our habit. My clothes are clean, smell great, no detergent spots and sufficiently spun. There is a higher level of noise during the spin cycle than I experienced with the top load, but, our washer is in the laundry room, so the noise is not an issue. I just didn't realize it would be louder and wanted to share with others going from top to front.

Would give it 5 stars except the new washer doesn™€™t fit perfectly on my old 2028 pedestal . The 4 rear screws and brackets work but the two single screw front brackets are slightly misaligned so they cannot be used, but washer still works with old pedestal even with only using rear brackets.

So far it's great except all little items like kids clothes and socks get stuck in the seal - it's happened every load so far. And they don't get rinsed and clog up the seal drain and leave a soapy residue that gets on the other clothes when taking the other clothes out.

I absolutely love this machine. My son is a chef and brought home his dirty synthetic shirts in which he cooks as he was unable to get them clean. I used the Actual I™€™ve wear setting, Solid Soul, and although the cycle is long, the shirts look new again! The Optic White setting, run on Cold with no bleach gets everything whiter than I ever previously got it even with hot water and bleach. Our towels are great, and I do them on the Towel cycle - all loads done with just cold water. Love, love, love this machine! My daughter and son-in-law just bought the exact same pair for their house after witnessing the transformation on our chef son™€™s shirt. We are all very happy with our purchases.

Electrolux Washer & Dryer

This is my 2nd set of Electrolux washer & dryer, last set was bought in April 2008, the washer became economically unrepairable, so replaced the whole set and donated the dryer that was still working. Get workmanship and durability.
