Two things keep it from being a 5 star. 1. The freezer separator is not removable.2. The small bin holders that are at bottom of each refrigerator door panels are useless there. Anything placed within that area will be forgotten. Should™€™ve been up higher if not the first shelf. Out of sight is out of mind.

The refrigerator capacity is extraordinary. The design is timeless, the interior was extremely well thought out with every nook and cranny utilized and optimized for storage. Everything in the back freezes

Read a bunch of reviews before I bought it but people said everything closest to the back freezes. Have the fridge set to 37 degrees and today club soda cans started exploding in there. Only the ones against the back wall.

This is our second refrigerator of this style. We liked our old one and the new one is really close to matching our other appliances. There are a couple of things that I don't like and that is the temps are not displayed all the time, Then the interior was changed, the interior shelf on the left needs ONE more notch lower. The ice and water dispenser were changed and now all the large shelves are on the right side, then what's with the little catch all shelf on the bottom? you can't even see it!

Being picky: the right hand crisper drawer should be about 1 in narrower in order to open when you only open the right hand door to the fridge. As it is you have to open both doors to get to that drawer. Other than that after 1 week it's far better than the whirlpool it replaced. It feels more solid. I am concerned about the bottom freezer and kids putting downward pressure on it as they decide which ice cream bar they want even though they're all the same.

Two Weeks Old and Not Dead Yet!

Let's be honest: I think we all know that in 2025, major appliances and electronics are built with planned obsolescence in mind. In the 1940s and '50s, when they were new, they marketed appliances as lasting for generations, something that you could pass down to your children and maybe even your grandchildren, and they built them with this ideology in mind. I have, in the last few years, inherited refrigerators, stoves, and other major appliances that were built in the 1950s and '60s, and, while they don't have all the modern bells and whistles, they still work. That being said, somewhere around 1983 or so, they figured out that if your appliances never break down, you never need to buy a new one. As such, they started to build appliances and devices that would die after just a few years- not so soon that they gain a reputation for being cheaply made or defective, but soon enough that you don't feel the need to hold on to them for generations. With these truths in mind, my brand-new, two-week-old Frigidaire is running like a champ. It is keeping food cold, the lights work, it is making ice and water as expected, and the shelves are not broken. That being said, my previous Frigidaire was less than seven years old, all the plastic components were shattered, the seals all leaked to the point where I had to put towels around the fridge, and the lights all continuously fiickered and died to to point where I felt I was in the Upside Down. So my review is that my refrigerator is still working as advertised after two weeks. Ask me again in six months.

Worked great while still covered under warranty. Then fridge started freezing food and ice maker in freezer stopped working. Freezer then stopped working all together. Two repair companies came out. The compressor is bad and not covered under warranty. It's going to cost me as much as buying a brand new fridge to fix it.

After extensive research I chose this model as the best balance of function/ value. I really wanted the dual icemakers, but would have preffered to also have a "flex zone" seperate drawer - however that was only avail in counter depth. After a few days of figuring out how to organize everyhing (coming from a side by side) I am very happy with the layout and functionality overall. I do wish the ice makers produced faster though (3 days to fill the lower ice bin)

We finally decided on the GRFS2853AF Frigidaire Professional french door w/ dual ice, and so far we haven't been disappointed. It makes tons of ice in both bins, is much quieter than our former Samsung, and is absolutely beautiful. The controls are intuitive and everything works exactly as we had hoped. Love the size, format, facility. Could not figure out why machine-created ice cubes kept "falling down" from the icemaker when i had turned ICEMAKER OFF on the panel. Most annoying and fearful, but It has a dual icemaker!! The lower one has its own on/off switch, but it was very difficult to find, until you endlessly search the website for the device-specific owners' manual. Once you realize tge problem, you have to pull the freezer box all the way out and practically stand on your head to find the switch. I wasn't prepared to find oil-stained cubes all over my frozen goods. Manual would have solved this easily. Freezer drawer plastic fittings seem flimsy, as of maybe short duration. i hope not.

My first French door fridge, still adapting. I am a huge condiment user, so I miss having built in door storage from full length doors. But, I still love this appliance. It is nice to be able to see everything when I open the doors the ice machine ( upper and lower ) work great. The lower freezer compartment is nicely designed and easier to use than what I expected. Aldo: a huge shout-out to the company for sending a replacement bin (when ours arrived cracked). We received the replacement in 24 hours!!! Great customer service! Over-all: this fridge is a 10.
